Whilst celebrating the history of showbusiness in many ways from talks and lectures to workshops and performance, including bringing the story of Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire born Philip Astley – ‘the man who invented the circus’ into schools with circus skills workshops, particularly celebrating the Philip Astley local links to the Midlands.
Always with the emphasis on showmanship, fun and entertainment shows are often tailored to have a 21st century take on many retro themes, including Victoriana with a steampunk twist.
